EVENTS

July 27 - 56th Anniversary of the armistice that resulted in the Korean War ceasefire. KVA National Wall of Remembrance, Brampton, Ontario.

August 9 - Unveiling of the Korea Peacekeepers section of the Canadian Association of Veterans of United Nations Peacekeeping (CAVUNP) Memorial Wall of Honour in Garrison Green, Calgary, Alberta. A dedication will honour 44 Canadian military personnel who lost their lives while serving in the Republic of Korea following the 27 July 1953 Korean War armistice and until the end of 1955
.


July 27 , 6 p.m.--KVA Unit 17 Candlelight Service, Brookside Cemetery, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

July 27, 11 a.m.-- KVA Unit 72 Korean War Ceasefire Commemoration. Luncheon to follow. Royal Canadian Legion 285, 9202 Horton Road S.W., Calgary, Alberta.

August 22 -- Warriors' Day Parade, Canadian National Exhibition, Toronto, Ontario.

September 27 -- KVA Unit 17 Honours & Awards Dinner. Guest speaker: Hon. Greg Thompson, Minister of Veterans Affairs Canada. Winnipeg, Manitoba.

October 2-4-- KVA Ontario Region Meeting. Royal Canadian Legion Branch 43, Oshawa, Ontario.




Korea Revisit Program

Must belong to a regular KVA unit or to the General John M. Rockingham Memorial, Heritage Unit #1

First-time visitors only.  Those who have been on a revisit previously, do not qualify.

Must have served in Korea (or surrounding waters or air flights) between 25 June 1950 and 15 October 1954 .

Limited participation.  First-come, first-served.
